RehaniSoko

Problem

Rehani Soko connects home buyers, sellers, renters and financial institutions across several African countries, with a large share of users overseas in the diaspora. The frontend needed to feel trustworthy and fast for people buying property remotely, often on slower connections.

What I built

• Built the Nuxt 3 / Vue frontend, including a reusable component architecture and frontend conventions meant to scale as the product grows.
• Optimized image delivery with WebP formats, responsive srcsets, lazy loading and improved hydration strategies.
• Integrated Google Analytics, GTM and Mouseflow to give the team visibility into real user behavior.
• Worked accessibility and SEO best practices into the build rather than bolting them on after.
• Collaborated directly with backend engineers on API contracts and code quality.
• Built property discovery experiences for homes, land and developments across multiple African markets.
• Connected listing pages to mortgage estimates and listing-specific mortgage inquiry flows.
• Created location- and property-type browsing routes to help buyers explore listings by market.

Result

• Improved Lighthouse performance scores to 95+ on key pages through faster image delivery, responsive srcsets, lazy loading and more efficient hydration.
• Expanded property discovery across homes, land and development listings in multiple African markets.
• Connected property listings to mortgage estimates and listing-specific mortgage inquiry flows.
